    White Mulberry in Dugok-ri, Sangju
    324 Dugok-ri, Euncheok-myeon, Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do

    The white Mulberry in Dugok-ri is about 390 years old and shows the long history of sericulture and silk weaving in Sangju.
    It was designated as Gyeongsangbuk-do Province Monument No. 1 in 1972 and elevated to Natural Monument No. 559 in 2020.
    It is an old and large tree, which is rare for white mulberry trees. It has a beautiful shape and bears a lot of berries each year.

    Hamchang Silk Museum
    1593 Muun-ro, Hamchang-eup, Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do

    Founded in 2013, the museum shows the history, tradition, and culture of Hamchang Silk.
    It is located in the Hamchang Silk Theme Park and open all year round.

    Gyeongsangbuk-do Province Sericulture and Insect Business Center
    1621-27 Muun-ro, Hamchang-eup, Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do

    The center was founded as a merger of Gyeongsangbuk-do Sericulture School, which opened in 1910, and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province Sericulture Regulations Office, which opened in 1919.
    Mulberry trees are grown there to produce silk cocoons and silk threads, and various exhibitions are offered at the Silkworm Experience and Learning Center and the Insect Ecology Museum.

    Korea Hanbok Promotion Institute
    1591 Muun-ro, Hamchang-eup, Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do

    Founded in 2021, the institute is the first public and cultural place themed on hanbok in Korea and consists of the hanbok exhibition and promotion hall, the hanbok training school, and the hanbok archive.
    At the hanbok exhibition and promotion hall, you can read about traditional clothing, appreciate hanbok and other traditional clothing from around the world, wear hanbok and take your photos.

    The Hamchang five-day market is set up on dates that end in 1 or 6.
    The authorized silk shop at the Hamchang five-day market has a long history and even appears in records from 1887. Hamchang Silk got its name from the authorized silk shop at the Hamchang market.
    By 2010, the silk shop had closed and was converted into an exhibition hall for newborn baby clothes as part of a village art project.
